How do I get to the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Osnabrück?
The Mathematics Institute of the University of Osnabrück is situated outside the town centre of Osnabrück on the Westerberg, Albrechtstraße 28a (building 69).
Arrival by Plane
A special bus runs regularly from the Airport Münster/ Osnabrück to Osnabrück Railway Station (going through Osnabrück). From there you can take the bus, as described below, to the Department of Mathematics/Computer Science of the University of Osnabrück.
Arrival by Rail and Bus
Osnabrück can be reached by regional trains from Hanover or by intercity trains from the north or south. Train Schedule. Bus line 16 "Campus Westerberg/ICO", line 17 direction "Strothesiedung" and line M2 "Landwehrviertel" will take you to the bus stops in 15 minutes "Botanischer Garten"/Albrechtstaße (line 16 und 17) and "Campus Westerberg/ICO" / Natruper Straße (line M2).
Arrival by Car
Coming from the east you get to Osnabrück on the A30. If you come from the north or south, take the A1.
A 1: Leave the motorway at junction "OS-Hafen", take the direction to the town centre and drive for about 5 km until you reach a crossing with traffic lights called "Eversburger Platz". Turn right into the Natruper Straße. After another 1.5 kilometres, you will come to a traffic light directly behind a church (Barbara-Kirche). Turn right into the Barbarastraße. After 300 m you will find the university car park on the left of Barbarastraße.
A 30: Leave the motorway at junction "OS-Hellern" and drive roughly 3 km until you get to the Osnabrück ringroad. Turn left, then turn into Natruper Straße from Rißmüllerplatz (fourth traffic lights; the new "Stadthaus" is on the left and the former "Dominikanerkirche" is on the right). Natruper Straße then forks off to the left after the 2nd traffic lights. Turn left into Barbarastraße at the second traffic lights.
